The Procar by SCAT Story

SCAT Enterprises was founded in 1964 by Tom Lieb, who started out running an auto parts business from his parents’ garage while still in college. The name came from his grandmother, who would chase the kids out from underfoot with a broom yelling “scat!” — and it stuck. Over the following decades SCAT became one of the best-known names in performance crankshafts, connecting rods, and rotating assemblies.

The Procar seating division was founded in 1980 to bring that same performance-aftermarket know-how to the interior. Today Procar by SCAT operates alongside SCAT Crankshafts, Air Flow Research (AFR), and RaceTec Pistons as part of the same family of performance brands, with seat operations based in Southern California.

Bolt-In Installation

Procar seats install in three straightforward steps: bolt the sliders to the seat, bolt the vehicle-specific adapter to the floor, then mount the seat and slider assembly to the adapter. Procar’s steel mounting brackets are manufactured in-house in the USA, engineered to use your vehicle’s factory mounting points wherever possible — so you save money and get the satisfaction of doing the job yourself.

Procar merchandise is warranted against defects in material or workmanship when properly installed. Please inspect your seats on arrival — any claims for damage or defects must be made before installation.
