Cutpile carpet material is a plush, high-quality option commonly found in modern vehicles. Made from 100% Nylon yarn, it is tufted to a 1/8 gauge cut pile and contains 14 ounces of yarn per square yard. Used as an original material in most domestic vehicles since around 1974, Cutpile remains the industry standard today. Manufactured in the USA, it has a roll width of 78 inches.
For enhanced performance, Cutpile is available with an optional Mass Backing — an approximately 45mil thick layer of EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate), a rubber-foam-like material bonded to the underside of the carpet. Mass Backing is flexible, highly durable, and provides excellent cushioning and shock absorption. It significantly enhances sound and heat insulation, reducing road noise and helping maintain cabin temperature while also improving the overall appearance after installation. Additionally, Mass Backing nearly doubles the material's weight compared to the standard version, offering a more substantial and premium feel.

Written Instructions
READ FULL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE BEGINNING — instructions may vary for multi-piece sets.
1. Remove new product from box. Lay flat and pop contours back into place. Allow a few hours for the product to relax back into proper shape. Check material for accuracy.
2. Compare new and old carpet. (New product may have excess material on outer edges.)
3. In some applications it may be necessary to use the old carpet as a template for console cuts.
4. IMPORTANT: Fold new product in half from front to rear. Place in vehicle lining up the molded contour to seat risers or another identifiable starting point on both driver and passenger sides. Once fitted, continue installation.
5. Roll product forward making any cuts needed for brackets, shifters, and heater vents while maintaining proper alignment on your starting point.
6. Cut in the center at the firewall to allow the product to go underneath the dash.
7. Continue the same procedure for the remainder of the installation, working your way to the outer edges.
8. Once the product is properly fitted, do the final trimming on outer edges, seat belts, and holes.
Note: Applying adhesive is generally not necessary. If desired, apply only a light brush or spray adhesive after a correct dry fit has been obtained.
